OnePlus already disclosed the debut of a new flagship phone in China. Now that the OnePlus 11 has gone on sale everywhere, the firm has also unveiled the OnePlus Pad, its first tablet.

"According to Kinder Liu, president, and chief operating officer of OnePlus, "We believe the Internet of Things is the future and users will want quick, fluid, and simplified experiences in a variety of circumstances. "With our launch into the tablet industry, we anticipate that the distinct and market-leading OnePlus fast and smooth experience will boost opportunities and life while giving customers the greatest options.

The 11.61-inch Dolby Vision LCD display on the OnePlus Pad has a resolution of 2,800 x 2,000 pixels and is displayed in an industry-first 7:5 aspect ratio, which should benefit gamers, digital artists, and ebook users. A screen-to-body ratio of 88% is achieved with thin 6.54-mm bezels, and a notable high refresh rate of up to 144 Hz is built in for brisk images. The display has a 500-nit brightness rating, 10-bit color, a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, and 120/144 Hz touch sampling.

The tablet's internal hardware consists of a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 4-nm mobile platform with an Arm V9-based Cortex-X2 CPU clocked at 3.05 GHz. Additionally, there is system support for up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which, according to OnePlus, should be sufficient to run up to 24 apps concurrently without degrading performance.

With a 9,510-mAh battery from OnePlus, the Pad boasts more than 14 hours of video playback time or a month of standby time, and 67-W fast charging means that users only need to wait 80 minutes for a full top-up.

Instead of needing to purchase a separate SIM package, the device can instantly connect to a OnePlus smartphone over Wi-Fi 6 and access the internet using the data plan of the device. The quad-speaker system supports Dolby Atmos and a patented "omni-bearing sound field technology" that adjusts left and right output based on screen direction for greater immersion. Bluetooth 5.3 is also built-in.

The entire unit is housed in a green CNC-machined aluminum casing with "Star Orbit etching" radiating from the huge circular camera module that is positioned top center around the back. A 13-megapixel sensor for 4K video at 30 frames per second, electronic image stabilization, and support for video zooming are all features of that camera. In the front display's top bezel is an 8-MP/1080p selfie cam.

The Stylo pen input and a magnetic keyboard will come standard with the OnePlus Pad when it becomes available for pre-order in April.

While it runs OxygenOS 13 and has 8/128 or 16/256 GB of RAM/storage, the OnePlus 11 5G flagship phone appears to have essentially the same specs as the China release from last month. The starting price is US$699.
