The guidelines regulating the acceptance of MPhil and other on-campus Master's programs were updated by incorporating the program finishing dates in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Ph.D. Policy.

It was agreed that the minimum duration for completion of these programs would be two years, and candidates who had been stuck in these programs for several years for anything would be given a few months to complete their thesis and graduate, after which their registration would be canceled.

Schools would only be permitted to apply within the university's published entry timeline for the MBBS, BDS, BS Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and other programs provided on-campus and at associated institutions.

The group decided to award a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Writing and Journalism to those who successfully finished the two diploma programs in medical editing (CME) and medical journalism for editors. (CMJE).

Additionally, modifications to the rules regulating the evaluation of Ph.D. and M.Phil. theses were done in order to bring them into compliance with the HEC's suggestions. The requirement for international evaluators for theories at the Master's degree level was eliminated to reduce procedure delays.
