Tree cutting is prohibited in educational establishments, according to Judge Shahid Karim of the Lahore High Court (LHC), who also directed any reports to be sent to the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

The choice was made during a meeting that included several requests about smog control, societal pollution reduction, and avoiding groundwater waste.

A report from the environmental commission was presented to the court during the hearing to reassure it that all required steps were being taken to fight pollution. The judge was also made aware that numerous agencies were cooperating to fend off encroachments and keep traffic flowing.

Shan Gull, the attorney general for Punjab, asked for approval to move the CIO Lahore, DG LDA, and DG PHA. The government was not allowed to move DG LDA, but the judge approved the changes of DG PHA and CTO Lahore. Judge Karim questioned the administration's motivations for moving DG LDA.

The court made it plain that it should not interfere with the court's procedures and directed the provincial government to present any proof it had to back up its claims.
