Wasim Akram, head of the Karachi Kings, has come under fire from former Pakistani cricketer Ramiz Raja for losing his composure and kicking a chair following his team's heartbreaking defeat to Multan Sultans.

In a statement to the media, Ramiz implored Wasim to exercise restraint in his rage and support the athletes, particularly during this trying time.

The former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief continued by advising the former speedster to support the players he selected and use reason when making decisions.

Ramiz said, "These gestures only generate more frustration," in answer to a query about the episode where Wasim lost his composure and kicked the chair.

It is better not to be seen by the people, he said. If you can't control your anger, which is most important in this role, it does not look good from an aesthetic standpoint.

After failing to win one of the most thrilling games of the day against Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings suffered their fourth loss of the campaign yesterday.

The setback stunned franchise President Wasim Akram, who lost his composure after the loss, as well as shocked skipper Imad Wasim and Karachi King's supporters.

Cricket fans reacted differently to the footage of Wasim Akram kicking the chair in anger as it rapidly went viral on social media.
