GC University Lahore has announced a special Eid honorarium to show its personnel how much it appreciates their efforts and commitment.

Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi, vice chancellor of GC University Lahore, sent a mail to his coworkers announcing the news.

Under the new rule, the non-teaching personnel will earn a special Eid honorarium equivalent to half of their 2017 basic pay grade.

All teaching personnel will earn a set salary in the meantime. The university's personnel welcomed the announcement with delight.

We are happy to provide this symbol of gratitude to our teaching and non-teaching employees on Eid, said Prof. Dr. Asghar Zaidi. They play a crucial role in our university, and we are very grateful for their commitment and labor of love. This is how we want to express our gratitude for all they have done.

The exclusive non-teaching personnel was the only group initially planned for the extra Eid honorarium. The faculty was further included by this clause at the request of the GCU Academic Staff Association.

The Vice-Chancellor was thanked by the President of the GCU Academic Staff Association, Prof. Dr. Babar Aziz GCU, and the Registrar, Dr. Shaukat Ali.

They said that the special Eid honorarium is anticipated to bring some financial respite to the GC University Lahore teaching and non-teaching employees, enabling them to celebrate Eid with their loved ones.
